Can a gorilla be a surrogate host mother for a human fetus?

The number of chromosomes and genetic identity have nothing to do with whether or not a gorilla can carry a human baby since it is just being implanted there. Babies and their mothers are never genetically identical because they get half their chromosomes from their mothers and half from dad. I don’t see why it could not work, but I doubt anyone would try it because someone would accuse them of killing the baby if it didn’t work out right. There are other animals that have carried babies of different species. Gorillas’ average gestation is 270 days with humans at 280. It would be interesting to see if it would work. Gorillas have a smaller placenta, but the discoid shape and way it works is the same as humans.
