Can a Global Seminar be canceled?
Yes, the UCSD International Center can cancel a Global Seminar without prior notice. This would only be done in extreme circumstances, including but not limited to the following conditions: if the program does not reach minimum enrollment levels, if the US State Department issues a Travel Warning for the destination country, if the faculty member is unable to teach the program and we are unable to find a replacement, if other unforeseen circumstance arise. In such circumstances every effort would be made to provide students with a refund contingent upon recoverable fees. All students are strongly advised to purchase trip cancellation insurance.
