Can a general agent suspend parallel imports?
Korea permits parallel imports for the sake of consumers. However, if a general agent produces all of the products and sells same in Korea instead of importing the goods, or obtains products bearing the trademark within Korea or from overseas via OEM (in other words, there are no import activities going on), then parallel imports may be suspended.
