Yes. What you have to look out for is that you probably told your agent there aren’t any underage drivers (pay attention now) IN THE HOUSEHOLD. If your friend lives with you and is underage, you “misrepresented”. (That’s a biggie for insurance companies) Another issue would be if your friend is a blood relative and (again) “in the household”. If he lives with you, he’s got to be shown on the policy as an additional driver. But if the guy doesn’t live with you and isn’t related by blood or marriage, it’s nothing more than a case of “permissive use” and if he’s in an accident your coverage applies. Non-permissive use is an entirely different issue. That’s if someone takes your car without your permission. Your coverage may not apply in that kind of situation.
