Can a for-profit business get a grant?
Many of my students are interested in learning how to write grants to support business efforts. Grant writing can certainly work for for-profit business enterprises. The tools and methods I teach in this A to Z course are directly transferable to a for-profit business grant and loan campaign. You will want to target your research to the corporate contributions departments of companies and government funding sources. Corporate contribution grants that provide funding for for-profits request roughly the same types of packages and proposals that they do from nonprofit organizations. So the process of researching potential funders and organizing a grant writing campaign for for-profits is virtually the same.
