Can a FloodSaver® be used in retrofit as well as new construction?

Yes. Here’s how: The FloodSaver® has a 5/8″ attachment flange. In new construction the flange is nailed directly to the subfloor then covered by the underlayment. In retrofit applications the flange is nailed directly to the finish floor, then covered with trim. Trim is not included.
