Can a first response pregnancy test give the wrong result?

Yes it could be wrong, I took a First Response pregnancy test ONE day before my missed period and it was negative, well my period never came so I retested a week later and got a faint positive line, my HCG levels weren’t high enough when I tested the 1st time around. Good luck to ya.
