A1: Yes! Local Commanders may authorize vehicle support from existing unit assets. This authorization must be in writing and is limited to non-tactical vehicles under 10,000 pounds. The vehicles are to be used for official use only and may not be used for personal use or convenience. Official use is a determination made by the Commander. The procedure is outlined in AR 58-1, AR 600-55 and UR 608-2.
