Can a dog that is provoked to bite be ordered to be put down?
First and foremost, put “beware of dog” signs on your fence where the kids come and tease your dog as well as any other area of your fence where people can see it. We had an issue where kids would tease one of our dogs and the parents basically did the same thing to me as they did to you so, I called the sheriffs dept and filed a report and the officer went over and spoke to the parents and the kids, he then advised me to put up the “beware of dog” signs and since I filed a report that if something were to happen it was likely my dog would NOT be deemed vicious if there were to be a bite or something of that matter. If all else fails, you will need to stay outside with your dog to prevent anything from happening or muzzle him when he is in the yard alone until your sure he wouldnt bite a child.
