Neutering can aggravate fear based aggression, but it takes some time for a dog’s hormonal levels to drop after a neutering, so this is not what you are seeing now. My guess is that his behaviour is a combination of issues: he might still be in some discomfort after the surgery and as you said, he hasn’t been able to get his usual exercise, at 6 months old he’s hitting his first teenage stage – and yes, sorry, your Cesar Milan training.
