Can a discus fish live with a freshwater stingray?

No. Discus are too delicate really. Rays grow large (around 2ft long), and are likely to bother the Discus. Not to mention needing quite a different set up – with large expanses of open swimming space (a tank at least 2ft in depth so they can turn around, ideally a tropical pond) while Discus need more in the way of planting and hiding places.
