Can a different filter be used with the Filter Pumper?
The main concern about using different filters is that some filters have a bypass if operating pressures get too high. Our filters have no bypass; if the pumping force gets harder it means your filter is clogged and needs to be replaced. Many different filters could work with the Filter Pumper. The FP heads have a standard 3/8 NPT port. Any filter that could fit into the 3/8 NPT port could work. If you were to use a different filter be sure that it has no bypass. We recommend using our filters because we know that they will work great for a wide range of applications. Our standard filter is ten micron. We also offer a three micron filter.
