Can a deferred prosecution petitioner be granted an additional extension of the temporary license if the assessment cannot be completed in time?
No. The law only allows the court to grant extensions of up to 90 days. If the petition has not been granted before the persons temporary license expires, he/she will not have a valid license. Once the petition has been accepted by the court, however, unless other restrictions apply he/she will be eligible for a probationary license.
