Can a convex mirror act as a diverging mirror?

Convex mirror always acts as diverging mirror as it diverges the rays striking it under both the two conditions i.e 1)When the object is at infinity in the case of a convex mirror. 2)When the object is anywhere between the pole and infinity in front of a convex mirror. That is why they are used as rear view mirrors by drivers in vehicles and as reflectors in street lights. And no concave mirrors cannot act as diverging mirror, as it will always force the beam of light to focus on a single point. Note : Its very important to identify the difference b/w the behavior of a lens and a mirror. A concave lens can act as convex one and vice-versa, but a concave mirror cannot act as convex one or other way around.
