Can a contact lens get stuck or lost inside/behind the eyeball?

I wear contacts, and no, your contact cannot get stuck behind your eye and eventually get into your brain. You can sleep with them in overnight, all though its not highly recommended, seeing as though it will deprive your eye of oxygen. If you attempted to take the lens out, but it didn’t come out, it’s probably still in your eye. Chances are it’s folded and in the eyelid, thus the scratchy feeling. Just close your eye again and gently rub from the top of the eye down to the bottom, and open again. Be careful, it might be really scratchy. If you still can’t see it, try lifting your eyelid slightly up and see if you can see it in mirror. If not, your contact lens is out and your eye is scratchy due to the fact it was deprived of oxygen during the night.
