Can a company immediately begin development if they successfully bid for CBG rights?

0

Once a company’s bid for CBG rights is accepted, exploration and development can take place only after the Oil and Gas Commission has reviewed and approved a site-specific activity application, for example a seismic or drilling of wells program. (For more information please refer to the Coalbed Gas Development Stages Information Letter.) The Oil and Gas Commission may refuse to approve activities or it may impose strict conditions to address concerns associated with a specific application.
