It’s not a good idea to house a cockatoo and a cockatiel together because of the size difference (in body and beak!). A cockatoo would have no problem breaking the cockatiel’s leg in a heartbeat. If they were going to be in a very large cage where they could get away from one another and where there were various sources of food, it might work but still wouldn’t be encouraged.
