Can a CO2 laser cut through bare metal?

0

Technically, yes, but it takes at least 200 watts before the CO2 starts marking bare metal. I’ve seen a 4000 wat C02 laser that cuts through 1″ stainless steel. The lasers manufactured by ULS are not for cutting metals. Marking bare metals such as stainless can be done with the ULS HPDFO Optics.
