Can a child body temperature to up to 110?

0

My great niece has been suffering from a rare cancer, neuro blastoma since August. She’s 20 months old. She is back in the hospital now and her mom says she has a blood infection and a temperature of 110. I asked her if she was sure she meant the temp was 110. She said yes. But the mom is only 17 years old. I looked at my thermometer and it only goes up to 108. I was recently ill with a stomach virus myself the last 2 days and my temp only went up to 100 but I could feel the effects of it. Since the mom is only 17 I highly doubt the temp could be that high with a child or anyone else for that matter and the person still survives.

Thanks for your prayers for the baby. I’m sure my niece was just confused about the temperature. But she still needs prayer for the neuro blastoma. Her last round of chemo is next week and she should officially be in remission. We didn’t think she was going to make it. She was diagnosed at stage 4, unfavorable in August.

It is especially sad when a child is sick. Last night I prayed for the sick and suffering. Tonite I will be more specific. Not only for the child but for the strength of those who love the child to go through this as well.
