Yes. A charter school applicant can hire an outside consultant to assist them in writing the charter school application. It is important, however, for the charter applicant to understand that the consultant must be familiar with all the New Mexico law and regulation requirements for writing a comprehensive charter application. Ignorance of the law and the requirements may prevent the application from being denied. All applicants must utilize the approved PED application, found on the New Mexico PED website.
