Can a cell phone repeater be used to cover more than one floor?

0

Due to the radiation pattern of the rebroadcast antenna, cell phone repeaters can only be used to natively cover one floor of your home or office. This is not a specific limitation of our cellular repeaters, but common to almost all commercially available cellular repeaters. The rebroadcast antenna that transmits and receives signals to your cell phone has a horizontal broadcast plane. For this reason, the majority of the signal improvement from installing a repeater will be concentrated on the same floor as the one on which the cell phone repeater is installed. However, you will experience some improvement in cellular coverage on other floors, though this depends on building contructions and repeater placement. In order to cover multiple floors more effectively, multiple cellular repeaters can be used, each one covering a different floor.
