Can a cat have one dead kitten and carry the rest to term?
Yes it is possible but not likely to have one kitten that is born as still birth and still carry others to term without the assistance of a Vet. It is highly reccomended that you take your pet to a Vet if you have a still birth, the vet can assist your animal in continuing to give birth if necessary or aid the cat with conditions that may have caused the loss of the newborn early. If you choose to not contact a vet you should restrict the animals access to other animals right now and also keep an eye on your pet for symptoms of discomfort as well as differences in activities, such as increase or decrease in number of stools or urination, changes in color or texture, and changes in either eating or drinking habits, if you notice any differences in these areas, contact a vet.
