Can a broken Coccyx bone ever be healed?

0

I’ve broken mine twice, so I really feel for her – it’s very painful indeed, and sitting down and even walking can be hard. The second time I broke my coccyx, it was a pretty bad fracture – it took about 18 months to get back to normal. Everytime I leaned back on it when sitting down, I had a sharp shooting pain – not much fun! Special ring shaped cushions can help, as sitting on a hard surface isn’t pleasant with a broken tailbone! Unfortunately, unless the break is very bad, there isn’t much they can do with a fractured coccyx – time is the only healer. I hope your mum feels better soon.
