Can a breather be mounted in any position, vertical, horizontal or on an angle?

Breathers should be mounted in the vertical position, or at least no more than a 45º angle. Even though the Air Sentry® Breathers are vibrated during assembly to assure maximum filling, the silica gel settles during shipping, creating an air passage above it when the unit is in the horizontal position. Air, like people, takes the path of least resistance, and in this case it would miss the silica gel and would enter the tank undried.
