If you have peripheral neuropathy then you need to be examined by a doctor. If it doesn’t clear up then you need to see a specialist to find out what is going on. If all else fails then get your vitamin B12 status checked, especially if you are vegetarian. It isn’t that likely at your age but a neighbour of mine suffered with it for ages before they checked her B12 levels. They were really low but she is now improving after quite a few injections.
