Can a bar manager legally take tips to make up for stock and till shortages?

He really can’t take your tips for stock shortages because he has to prove one of you took it and as far as the till goes…he shouldn’t be making you pay for it..it should be the customer who spilled on it.Plus he should have insurance coverage for that so he can get a new one without cost anyway. The bars we have use key cards to get drinks with and each waitress is responsible to have the money needed at the end of the might that her key says she sold. After that is paid whatever is left is hers because it’s not fair for everyone to put inthe same jar because some waitresses don’t carry their share of the workload so shouldn’t get the same amount tthat others do.
