Can a bacterial infection, (BV) cause a miscarriage in pregnancy??

BV can cause pregnancy complications such as premature rupture of the membranes, and intraamniotic infection, which may lead to low birth weight. All BV is, is a bacteria that you naturally have in your vagina that over produces. sorta like with a yeast infection. All you have to do is take an antibiotic like Flagyl for a week and it gone. If it goes untreated it will cause cramping and a foul smelling discharge and depending how prego you are could cause preterm labor.
