Three month old dog is not sexually mature. Dogs become sexually mature at the average age of 6-9 months. At this age, dogs should not be used for breeding because male dogs have poor quality sperms and female dogs are not physically mature. Before using for breeding, dogs should be declared fit by the doctor. Some of the fitness tests are possible at the age of 2 years. So, both male and female dogs should be used for breeding after 2 years of age.
