I think this is one of those questions that can’t be answered with a simple “yes” or “no” — there are a lot of factors to consider. I really wanted to breastfeed my son, but he was born more than 13 weeks prematurely and had a number of medical challenges. We did try breastfeeding during his 98-day hospital stay, but he had to be able to take a full bottle before he could be discharged.
