Can a 29 week pregnant woman be employed?

0

Yes although you are obliged to inform the prospective employer that you are pregnant, and at 29 weeks pregnant very few employers would consider taking you on, unless the job was temporary.

if you are going for a job and r 29 weeks pregnant u have to inform the potential employer that u r expecting, very few places will employ you unfortunately due to health and safety factors.

I had an argument with the job centre when they insisted I was fit for work at around 34 weeks. I was unemployed at the time and clearly no employer would take me on knowing I was about to have a baby. They told me to get a doctor to declare I was ill when I obviously wasn’t – was just very pregnant! You’re stuck between a rock and a hard place I’m afraid. You can be employed but I’d doubt anybody would take you on. You could argue that they’re being discriminatory though but a potential employer could argue they weren’t if they had a better candidate.
