On a manual trans. vehicle, the only thing you need to do to tow is place the trans. in neutral. Your transfer case should be placed in neutral as well if applicable. Edit: Just a reminder to make sure your steering wheel is not in the “locked” position when you tow. You should be able to turn the key in the ignition enough to unlock wheel, without actually turning to “on” position.
