Can a 16 year old girl date a 22 year old guy?
Though there are many different schools of thought on this, I personally think there is nothing wrong with it at all. I am 16, and I’m sure plenty of people will agree that because of my age I’m not mature enough to judge the matter. They are entitled to their opinion but the fact is that you can’t help who you fall in love with. I look much older than my actual age and therefore the only guys who are attracted to me are those typically 21 and above, I’ve become very used to this and am now primarily attracted to much older guys anyway. There is a difference between a commited couple with signifigant age difference, and a pedophile who wants sex from a young and naive girl. If there is a mutal connection and the relationship isn’t based on sex, there is nothing wrong with it. The law differs in many states and it fails to custom fit each person’s situation as far as what constitutes as statutory rape.
