Can a 10 year old girl publish a book?
As long as she has an adult prepared to sign contracts for her, nobody cares how old your cousin is. Is her book better than all those being written by adults, including adults with doctorates in creative writing? If so, then yes, she can get published, and yes, people will want to read it. Is her book only noteworthy because she’s ten? Then no, she can’t get published, and no, nobody will want to read it. The vast majority of – let’s be honest here, ALL – ten year olds do not write at an adult level. They’re learning and practicing. Maybe they’ll be great in a decade or so. But right now, they aren’t ready for publishing. I don’t understand why they expect to be. When’s the last time you saw a 10 year old football player – no matter how brilliant he was for his age – suggest he should be playing in the NFL?
