Kiefer Sutherland: I think that we’ve always made an effort to have interesting storylines that would reflect a multiple of opinions, left or right. I don’t think we’ve ever tried to politicize our show, even though it has been politicized by other people, but I certainly think we’ve tackled topics and ideas that I think have been very responsible from the show’s perspective. Zimbio: How did shooting in Africa compare to shooting in Hollywood? Kiefer Sutherland: Well, just aside from that our home base was over 9,000 miles away, that was one major one. Also we were shooting in winter so we had eight hours of sunlight a day. They have incredible winds coming off of the cape at that time of year, and it could rain for four hours and stop and not one day was without some kind of a weather issue of some kind.
