Yes, you need a Router with NAT (network address translation) or to use internet connection sharing. A router with NAT will run you anywhere from $50 to $100 with Linksys being the most dominant name-brand (and they also happen to be owned by Cisco systems who makes enterprise routers.) You’ll also need CAT5e cables which are from 5 to $10. The company you get your internet service from may provide a service and routers, but they usually charge 20-30 dollars a month to “rent” a router with their support services, which is about $200 to $300 a year, and really not worth it.
