Most people believe that its all about the calories, they are made out to be the ‘enemy’. However this is not exactly true, 95 % of people attempt to lose weight by cutting back on their calories and get absolutely NO RESULTS after they’ve finished with their starvation diet. Before I explain the reason behind why calorie counting doesn’t work lets take a look at the mindset of the average dieter. One day you take a look at yourself, and you don’t quiet look the same as you used to. You decide right then and there that you’re going to lose weight. You are extremely motivated and you begin skipping meals and cutting way back on your calories. While everyone else eats their lunch time meals you chew away at a small apple or something. A couple of days later you feel weak and miserable and you’re hungrier than ever. Unfortunately you’re motivation doesn’t last long and you quickly stop what I call the ‘starvation diet’.
