Calcium deposits on the thyroid what does it mean?
Your doctor needs to explain that. When calcium deposits are found in a lung – it could be a sign that a small cancer has stopped so it is jut watched regularly to see if it changes. When calcium deposits are found in the breast they are usually removed as “pre cancer”. There is no data saying this is good or that the calcium would later become cancer so it is just the standard way of treating. Thyroid cancer is less common, but the most treatable of all cancers – but that also means you don’t get the flood of information that you can for other types of cancer / potential cancers. There are some very good books written by Sara Rosenthal on all things thyroid. Try searching for info: http://www.amazon.
