It doesn’t matter what I think. It’s up to the people of Alaska to judge that. She explained in her press conference why she thought it would be better for the state if she resigned. The real outrage is that for political reasons only, people bombarded her with phoney ethics violations, she was cleared of ALL, but the cost to the state was great. This is just another chapter in the volumes of questions that have arisen about her reliabilty, among other issues. And I question her use of all the sports metaphors seeing that she forgot one of the most important ones of all: You never take yourself out of a game. This is as if the play on the floor or field just got too rough for her and she just walked off, leaving her teamates behind to fend for themselves, in this case it being the people of the state of Alaska. Yes, they have every reason to feel angry and disenfranchised, and if she’s still considering a run for any other higher office, be it the Senate or the Presidency, she may as well hang it up now because this legacy will forever haunt her.
