By implementing CIQ Specifications, can I achieve interoperability of Party data between applications/business systems?
Yes you can, provided the exchange is managed properly. No data exchange for interoperability can be automated without some sort of information exchange agreement is in place at application design time. CIQ specifications are powerful in terms of providing the users the flexibility to customize it to meet their specific requirements. Flexibility is indirectly proportional to interoperability. The more flexible the specification is, less the chances are that interoperability will be achieved, because users will tend to implement the specifications in their own ways. This is where information exchange agreements are helpful in managing implementation of the specifications by more than one party involved in the data exchange. With an information exchange agreement in place, CIQ specifications will enable 100% interoperability of party related data between applications/systems.
