Buying an New Car help please-Civic, Mazda 3, Jetta, Matrix?
I’m going to be purchasing a new car in the next month or so. I will be driving on the highway a fair bit so i want something very reliable and good on gas. I will be doing a lot of winter driving as well. I’m interested in the civic, mazda 3, matrix, jetta, and would rather a 4 wheel drive because of winter driving but know that gas and payments will be high. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks! A: In your list, only Civic, Matrix/Toyota Corolla/Pontiac Vibe, and Mazda3 stand out in terms of reliability. VW has diesel models which can save you money on gas. Honda has a very reputation for producing good-mileage cars with a very high quality and resale value. And they’ve been doing it for a long time. Mazda3 is a very nice and well-rounded car as well with good mileage. But they are not as reliable as the Civic.
