buying a glass or acrylic aquarium?
Both acrylic and glass aquariums have their advantages and disadvantages. Acrylic has a special sealing system used in the construction process and these tanks are more or less guaranteed for life against leakages, whereas the silicon used in glass sealing will break down over a period of years. Glass tanks can be very heavy and normally need 2 people to lift, with acrylic it is at least half the weight of glass.
