Building Codes Adopted: What building codes has the City of DeSoto adopted?
The City of DeSoto has adopted the 2003 International Codes, which includes the International Building Code (IBC), International Residential Code (IRC), International Plumbing Code (IPC), International Fuel Gas Code (IFCG), International Mechanical Code (IMC), International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), and the International Fire Code (IFC). The 2002 National Electrical Code (NEC) is the adopted electrical code. The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) recommended amendment package for the 2003 International Codes has also been adopted by the City of DeSoto.
