Broken broken light bulbs?
Could be the amp rating of the circuit breaker the first poster mentioned…it could also be cheap light bulbs. A few years ago I bought a box of cheap bulbs at a dollar store…all of them broke the way you described within a few weeks. I called an electrician (for that and for an exterior light I discovered was wired in such a way that the outside of the fixture itself was “hot”). He said that the combination of voltage spikes and cheap light bulbs was the most likely cause. I replaced them with a decent brand and it hasn’t happened since. Spiritual?…probably not…but it could be physiological if you touched the bulbs before they broke. Some people just seems to generate more static electricity than others…when I was in college, they wouldn’t let me use the computer lab after I trashed three computers in a row just by touching them. Thankfully that went away when I got a bit older (since I make my living working on a computer now!)…
