Brand/Ross; would we feel the same way if Mr. Sachs wasn Manuel, in Fawlty Towers?
I think that there is a lot of people jumping on the bandwagon with this. But it still does not excuse what they did. Whether or not Andrew Sachs was Manuel or not is irrelevant, it was uncalled for. I could understand it if there was some kind of big war going on between them but there clearly was not. How would you feel if someone called up your grandparents and told them that they had been having sex with you. You would not want that so why then is it acceptable for these two half witted prats to do it……and on national radio. THey used a medium which we pay for to victimise someone and that is just plain wrong.
I like JR a lot and agree he over stepped the mark, BUT whilst the comments obviously went on to Andrew Sachs answerphone, the broadcasted interview was pre-recorded so WHY DID THE BBC AIR IT. They must take some blame. And please, why involve Gordon Brown FFS! I hardly believe the grand daughter is as distraught as she makes out, especially when she is in a group called the SATANIC SLUTS and quite honestly dresses like one from the pictures I’ve seen. She is not some shy timid privately educated little schoolgirl.
