Bow mount or transom mount ?
Bow mount motors are designed for use by fishermen who own their fishing boats. They require permanent mounting, and can be operated by hand or foot. Bow motor ‘s generally have higher thrust capacity due to boat weight. Transom mount motors can be permanently or temporarily mounted. Transom motors are the most popular trolling motor , as many fishermen either don’t own their own boats, or have smaller, lightweight boats that don’t require the thrust of a bow mount motor .
