Booking multiple nights in a Travelodge at saver room rate?
If you check the fine print when it displays the cheap rates, it says something like ‘rates correct as at 9am this morning’. So the cheapest rooms may already have been booked for those dates at that location when you are making your enquiry. As those go, the saver rate goes up to £29, then £32, etc etc. The saver rate does not stay at £19 as people pile in, despite what the headline offer trumpets. Also, the rate only applies to midweek stays. Come Friday and Saturday, even during this sale of theirs, it is almost impossible to find a London Travelodge going for less than £39 and £69 is considered a bargain in London on a weekend, so the rate you mention is the rate you’re stuck with. There is not a £19 room lurking elsewhere in the hotel for you to move into. You can’t ring Travelodge on this point, because you can only book saver rooms through the website. What you may want to do is be a Travelodge tart, staying wherever is the cheapest even if it means staying 2 or 3 different Trav
