Body language and seating positions: does he fancy me?
Body language cannot be interpreted as a single unit. Rather, it has to be analyzed according to the ‘clusters’ sent. E.g – A man folding his arms may be insecure and defensive, but he may just be cold. But if the same man is leaning back on something, in a corner, looking down and frowning, you could prolly accurately say he is being defensive. Normally the first signs of interest would be him gazing intently and affectionately at you and yes that would take him to want to be directly in front of you. But on the other hand, sitting side by side is a really peculiar thing, regardless of culture/sex, so i suspect he may want to show his interest by ways of breaking into the ‘private’ proxemics zone (i.e – your private zone reserved for lovers, family, etc) to judge whether you might feel something for him. It all depends on whether he touches you though :). If he does, i think theres a high chance he likes you. Cheers! Edit – Affectionate gazing. If its the kind where he gazes (not stare
