Fewer Tropf-Blumat units are needed when the more quickly installed distributor drippers are used. However, a word of warning, they have higher maintainance requirements! To be on the safe side, large containers should have at least two Tropf-Blumats plus distributor drippers. The maximum number of distributor drippers is limited to 5. If more are used, the last ones can not get water due to the drop in water pressure. 1 Tropf-Blumat with 5 distributor drippers waters a surface area of about 30 cm wide and 150 cm long. This chain of drippers is above all appropriate for small beds. See above for the number of drippers for use in containers.
