Billiards, Is scratching on purpose becuase you have no shot illegal?
In pocket billiards if you are playing bar rules then most of the time yes you can do it. However, and I mean a big however depending on the person you are shooting and what you are shooting for it is a good way to lose a few teeth by being severely beaten because it is dirty to play like that and only donkeys do it. Look into playing ball in hand rules like BCA (world standardized rules) Its a much better game, and odd to first start playing it, but once you play it you realize its 1000 times better then bar rules.
