He will receive a $1 million prize from Anheuser-Busch, which recently inaugurated the Budweiser Cup an aviation challenge that was issued on Nov. 13, 1997, and extends through Dec. 31, 1999. The first person or team to complete the around-the-world journey will receive $500,000, with the remaining $500,000 going to a charity or nonprofit organization selected by the winner(s). Should Fossett win the Budweiser Cup, he will donate $500,000 to Washington University in St. Louis.
